| The traditional London Taxi that so many people around the world identify with London is the Austin FX4. Approximately 43,000 of these taxi-cabs were produced between 1958 and 1981. |
|
| The
London Taxi that we have available for hire
is a 1968 Austin FX4 and was operated by
a private owner in London, based around
the Islington area. The Taxi was imported
to New Zealand in 1974. |

|
With its spacious passenger
compartment, incorporating a bench seat for two or three
people plus two occasional fold down seats, the London
Taxi makes an ideal vehicle for transporting a small
group for any special occasion. There is also an additional
passenger seat in the front compartment allowing a total
of six passengers plus driver. |
 |
An interior photo of the London Taxi shows original seating with a luxury sheep skin covering over the bench seat and new carpet on the floor. |
